WE GIVE BACK TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Through our project we empower local communities with the development of their socio-economic situation. For our first project in 2018, we gifted a local school in Ocha with a school years’ worth of study material to 600 students. We take small steps that will have a continuous impact and we take pride in planting seeds in communities that will continue to grow with us for the many years to come.

WE COLLABORATE TO INNOVATE

In 2017, Dechase became the official partner of MVO Nederland working on ‘SWITCH: Africa Green Again’. For The Green Tanning Initiative project, we endeavour to position Ethiopia at the forefront of sustainable employment opportunities within the industry as well promoting latest developments and researches aimed at reducing the environmental impact of leather processing. Together with leading organisations, Solidaridad and STAHL we seek innovative ways for sustainable tanning initiatives to produce leather that cuts down on the use of chemicals, energy, water and salt. And we’re not done yet. By always being on the look out for new partnerships and collaborations we want to be ahead of the game to raise more awareness for issues we are passionate about.

WE ARE MADE IN AFRICA

We care about the makers behind our shoes. It is of invaluable importance to us that our local craftsmen and women have fair and safe working conditions and that we pay them an honest salary for their expertise. Whilst Addis Ababa is where it all started, we have high ambitions to put Africa on the map as a fashion destination that is capable of outsourcing high-quality products.
